Don't Miss Jim Wooley's Presentation At Atlanta .Net Group
Jim Wooley has been a huge help to GGMUG since our founding, and he is presenting a cool session at the next Atlanta .Net User Group session later this month.
The meeting will be held in the Microsoft office in Alpharetta on Monday, July 25, 2011 as 6:30 PM.
Dynamic Programming in a Statically Typed World
One of the key pillars of .NET 4.0 is the inclusion of dynamic language support. Many languages have
tended to stick to static or dynamic typing. With .Net 4.0, Visual Basic and
C# are uniquely positioned to straddle the fence and work equally well in
both the static and dynamic worlds. We will show how to take advantage of
the new dynamic language enhancements. We'll also demonstrate some cases
where you should and shouldn't use these dynamic features.
By day, Jim Wooley is a consultant for Slalom Consulting. In his free time,
Jim is a frequent speaker, MVP, and author of "LINQ in Action". He is always
striving to stay at the forefront of technology and enjoys the thrill of a
new challenge. He has been active evangelizing LINQ since it's announcement
in 2005. In addition, he attempts to pass on the insights he has gained by
being active in the community, including organizing and speaking at code
camps and regional events, including DevLink, DevWeek, CodeMash, CodeStock,
VS Live, and MIX.
